Humanism in Medicine

Our Mission

In recent years many healthcare providers have seen the everyday stresses of both their professional and personal lives take a toll on enthusiasm for their profession. With increased focus on technical advances and coding/billing practices, the ability to maintain an intimate connection with patients has been diminished—that very thing that drew most of us to medicine in the first place. With physician and healthcare professional burnout at epidemic levels, individuals and organizations have struggled to find effective wellness solutions.

The Pete & Erin Huttlinger Humanism in Medicine series seeks to provide valuable tools and encouraging messages to ignite and rekindle each healthcare professional’s passion for patient care, and their desire to restore the human aspect as the foundation of their relationship with their patients. Addressing the human connection in medicine through music with stories of patient resiliency and compassionate care helps healthcare providers reconnect with their personal and professional purpose.
